The Rotary Club of Smith Mountain Lake recently inducted new officers and directors for Fiscal Year 2019 which began July 1, 2018. Outgoing President, James Buchanan administered the oath of office to incoming President, John Stafford. John has been a Rotarian for many years and previously has served as Rotary Club President to Clubs in the Pittsburgh area. Joining John, on his Board of Directors, are Steve Wheeler, President-Elect and Treasurer, Rosalind Reichert, Secretary, James Buchanan, Past-President and Rotary Foundation Chair, Directors are Gary Doninger, Charlene Jones, Dick Kenyon, Pidge Morgan and Shirley Sorrentino. Carolyn Gordon continues as the Club’s Foundation Chair.
Club members attending the induction ceremony enjoyed camaraderie at the Claytor Nature Center, near the Peaks of Otter, and enjoyed lunch catered by Club member, Jeff Schott of Hot Shots restaurant, recreation and amusement located in Moneta VA.
