The Rotary Club of Smith Mountain Lake continues its long standing tradition of making fresh-cut Christmas trees available to families in the area. The trees, all of which are Frasier firs from nearby Floyd County, range in size from approximately five feet tall to about ten feet. The trees this year are priced from $45 to $100 depending on size. As in previous years the trees will be available beginning the day after Thanksgiving (Friday, November 24) through December 9 — or until sold out, and may be picked up at Hot Shots restaurant during working hours (11 AM until 8 PM Tuesday through Sunday). Rotary Club volunteers or Hot Shots staff will be available to trim the tree base to your specifications and to help you load the tree on you vehicle.
Net proceeds, as always, go to supporting the many charitable Rotary Club projects in the Lake community. Typically, the annual Christmas tree sale is second only to the popular Nite at the Races gala in the club’s annual fund raising program.
Hurry down to Hot Shots (note the Rotary Club sign on route 122 at the entrance to Hot Shots), get your locally harvested Christmas tree and help make this a Merry Christmas for your family as you help the club give to those in need.
